I typically charge $150/hour for SEO services that include on-page optimization, link building, and linkbait strategizing. I don't engage in any of the bogus search engine submissions, though.

For PPC, I charge the same rate for setup, along with a monthly fee equal to 20% of the PPC spending

Blog setup and promotion are also billed at the $150/hour rate.

Search Engine Optimization in and of itself IS NOT "better" than other options. Further it is easy to reach the first pages of Google if you follow a simple formula.

Search Engine Optimization has the following problems.
* It can take 30 - 90 days to reach the top of the search engines.
* Keyword metatags just don't mea what they used to.
* There are, in some cases, millions of other people attempting to target your specific keyword.

Simply put, Search Engine Optimization is an old and out-dated way of gaining a huge following from the Internet. Don't get me wrong though. Every page you build should indeed be SEO'd, but this is secondary to what works really well.

Such things as...
* Article marketing
* Social Networking
* Social Bookmarking

Those are what you want to spend the bulk of your time and attention on with a focus on article marketing using the bum marketing method. What is bum marketing? It's the exact forumla I was speaking of at the beginning of this post.

I'm giving away this audio file on bum marketing so that you can learn more about this concept.
===>

I'd be glad to be of further assistance. Just post your question here...

Okay, I'm reading through and seeing some really bad advice.

Never Do This: Submit to search engines. Seriously. That's the last thing you will ever want to do.

Here's What You DO Want To Do:

Google this: Adwords keyword Tool

Use this to find what keywords people use to find what you do online. Don't optimize for your name, optimize for how people are looking for you.

Example: Don't Do - "Amy & Matts Clean Clothes"
DO - Dry Cleaning or Dry Cleaners etc...

Copy how these guys do it:

This is a site that has the right idea. In your web browser, after you hit that page go to 'view' and then 'page source'

You can see how a serious company maps out their site for the search engines.

Next you'll want to flesh out your page with some content.

Google loves content.

Here's a quick guide to On Page SEO:

URL = Keyword 1x
Title = Keyword 1x
Meta Tags= Keyword 1x
H1 Title Tag = Keyword 1x
H2 Title Tag = Keyword 1-2x
H3 Title Tag = Keyword 3-7x
On Page Keyword = No more than 3%

Also, make sure you have multiple pages. Don't just be a landing page with no info.

Off Page SEO (This is vital)
If you want to do what I do (land top 10 Google spots in under 12 hours from scratch) follow this EXACTLY

Go to:
Get one of their little Social Bookmarking buttons.
Install it on each page of your site.

Day 1: Use this tool and bookmark your site on each of these services.
Day 2: Go to and set up a blog around your keywords. Offer short information (200 words max) and use "anchor text" to point to your home page. Once you have finished go to and submit your new blog.
Day 3: Use the AddThis tool again, but this time create a second group of accounts and bookmark your site under that. (do not go past 2 accounts as you could be accused of SPAMMING and be banned)

Why do you do this? Because if you submit your site to search engines you'll wait for months and months and months before anything happens.

You want to throw your info in Googles path. These social bookmarking sites are where the Google/Yahoo spiders hang out and index information constantly.

Recap:
#1 - Do your keyword homework
#2 - Flesh out your pages using actual keywords people are using to search
#3 - Content, quality add it
#4 - Addthis button and bookmark
#5 - Blog and ping
#6 - Addthis button again

Result: Slash through massive competition in minutes - days and rank under quite a few terms.

Hola Notre1, another tip: search engines not only look for relevant information, but also for reliable one. If I were you i'd tell a lot more about the castles, where customers have to go, how much time it takes to set them up.. anticipate every question they might have, and in addition to that, do not be afraid to put an address. It is just that, without address, you will be one of the millions of perhaps suspicious websites with no real professional goal or intention to be there still in a couple of years. ¡Suerte!

The most effective way to advertise on the Internet is
to first set up a website and publish its domain name
on major search directories such as Google.com,
Yahoo.com [at?...... and
MSN.com since 85% of Internet shoppers rely on these
search directories to provide them with goods and
services. In a sense, these search directories are a
very large Internet Yellow Pages.

Nevertheless, should your website or opening webpage
fail to contain "generic" keywords, then anyone using
such "generic" queries will not be able to discover
your website. Your domain name [URL] of your website,
in a sense, will be invisible, undiscoverable.

You may want to consider some simple algorithms which,
when observed and committed in designing of a website
with placement of various critical metatags that can
surely achieve a high search engine presence and
increase Internet traffic to your website. These
metatag strategies work well with published webpages
at Google and Yahoo.

Design: Should you create an extensive Flash-based
website, make sure to fill-in the property entries
such as the Title, Description and Keywords. Failing
to do so, leaves no hard HTML or ALT resource that can
be readily indexed by search robots. Also consider the
Internet audience and their incoming setup. For
example, if they are on analog/dialup, Flash webpages
take too long to load up and therefore analog users
will likely lose interest and discontinue entering the
Flash site. On the other hand, anyone on hi-speed DSL
lines, will welcome Flash pages which load quickly. So
before designing a pure Flash websitge, ask the simple
question, "Who's my end user - is he on dialup or
DSL?" And if you had to choose between these two users
for maximum marketability, then select analog users
since 80% of most resident users are still analog
Internet subscribers and pure HTML designed webpages
is best for them.

A non-Flash-based website which relies on hard text,
is far easier to be indexed by search robots. Limit
the use of stylized text saved as .gifs since as a
graphic, they are not indexable by search robots.

Avoid use of frames since any number of search robots
are unable to properly classify textual material.

Placement of Metatags:

A ranking or search order does take place with Google
and Yahoo and it begins with the "Title" metag which
should consist of no more than 65 characters separated
by commas. The "Title" should describe in generic
terms, the goods and services, followed by a location
from which the resource is located, i.e., city, state.
The placement of a domain name which is not generic
within the "Title" is not appropriate, unless your
domain name is a major recognizable brand name.

The second metatag is the "Description" which is
usually 25-30 words to form a complete sentence which
best describes one's goods and services.

And the very last category - "Keywords" are also
somewhat limited to 15-16 words which can be plural
and compound in nature. Again, avoid multiple entries
which could be mistaken as "spamdexed entries" which
is defined as the loading, and submission of
repetitive words into a particular metatag category.
"Spamdexing" when discovered on a webpage and reported
to Google's spamreport.com can result in the
elimination of your website from their search
directory.

Here's an example of a very highly-placed website on
Google.com: Begin with the very "generic" search query
"sandwiches downtown los angeles," taking note to not
abbreviate Los Angeles to "LA" and of course, leave
out the parentheses ("). It will bring up some 2.4
million+ search results. Check out where "Nazos.net"
is ranked. It's ranked No. 1!
Again, Nazos.net's high web presence was achieved by
proper web design and placement of relevant metatags
according to Google's publication guidelines.

Good luck!
